I just love bandage skirts. I find that its comfortable and easier to wear than a-line skirts (hard to walk when windy. hehe). And you can style it in many ways. :)
I have a couple of bandage skirts, it's my favorite piece of clothing these past few days. I was looking for style inspiration pics, and I found these, cool ways to wear your bandage skirt, and style it.

rock it with a leather jacket and booties.
wear with flats.
wear a printed skirt with a plain top.
with pumps, and cover up with a nice jacket.
coverup with a structured jacket.
make it more sophisticated by tucking in a button down shirt,
and pairing it with pumps.
You can style your bandage skirt accordingly (depending upon where you're going,
partying? casual coffee with friends? :)

Style has always been subjective. How you dress depends on your personality and preference, and we might not have the same personalities. We may not agree wholly on some points, but its good to know that although we have different tastes, there are some things that we can do and adopt that will work for any style. Those instant things that can immediately upgrade your style and add a little something. I think that no one can go wrong with the basics. :)
I was browsing through Daphne Osena-Paez' blog and found this very interesting book that she mentioned. I'm itching to see if they have it at National Bookstore, Powerbooks, or Fully Booked (I bet it would also cost as much as Nina Garcia's Little Black book of Style, and her other books. hehe.)
I've searched for it through the internet, and these are a few tips from the book that I found.
The Blazer
"Push back or roll up the sleeves — the ultimate 'easy chic' statement. Even better when the lining's a different color."
Photo: Benoît Peverelli, from Parisian Chic: A Style Guide by Ines de la Fressange, Flammarion, 2011
my thoughts : I was able to buy a nice blazer with nice lining, it adds a little accent when I fold back the sleeves to reveal the colorful cloth that is the lining at the cuff. :) See how the belt is just kind of tied at the waist?
The Bag
"Better a genuine straw bag than a fake luxury label. Counterfeit is counterfashion!"
Photo: Benoît Peverelli, from Parisian Chic: A Style Guide by Ines de la Fressange, Flammarion, 2011
The Trench
"Never, ever buckle the belt properly like a good little girl. Tie it in front or behind with the buckle hanging loose. Unobtrusive fashion statements like this ('Life's too short,' or 'the buckle's broken but I love this coat so much I found a solution ...') are very, very Parisian."

The Little Black Dress
"The little black dress is not simply an item of clothing, it's a concept. It's abstract, it's universal — which means there's one that's perfect for everyone ... Today the Parisian has several little black dresses, just as she has several pairs of jeans: each is a variation on a theme."
Photo: Benoît Peverelli, from Parisian Chic: A Style Guide by Ines de la Fressange, Flammarion, 2011
my thoughts : I think the little black dress is a staple. It's an instant go to outfit, I wear it when I can't think of anything else to wear : then I have fun accessorizing with big earrings, or a necklace, or red pumps. :) its like a blank canvass.
The Perfect Jeans
"Jeans are never too risky; they're a little like salt — they go with everything!"
Photo: Benoît Peverelli, from Parisian Chic: A Style Guide by Ines de la Fressange, Flammarion, 2011
my thoughts : I love wearing jeans (aside from wearing skirts. hehe) It is true that you can match it with anything. I love it that you can just wear a plain top, put on a jacket, and just pair it with your nice pumps or high heels, you have your instant chic outfit. :)
Stripes will always be a staple: timeless and crisp, the trend is here to stay. Style it to make the look yours, and play around with accessories to match.
Just some of the stripe outfits I have worn. I love pairing black and white stripes with red accessories to accent the outfit. :)

Want to rock the hottest trends like your favorite celeb? Then why not try this haute trend this Spring? Celebs like Kelly Osbourne and Rachel Bilson are all about polka dots and sailor stripes. And Anne Hathaway took the trend even further and boldly mixed dots and stripes in her quirky, downtown look.
For Spring 2011, Yoana Baraschi took the pin-up girl to sea. The ultra feminine and flattering curves of 70’s and 90’s sportswear classics are vamped in the season’s essential playful prints. You don’t have to rock the look head to toe like Anne, but instead opt for a single piece like one of Baraschi’s chic blazers that add polish and pizazz to your everyday jeans and tee or even a flirty sundress.
