GOING ON THE BUCKET LIST : New York for New Year's? Would really love to go back and experience the Ball Drop at Times Square! Maybe not this year yet (but, who knows? hahaha) but it's definitely going on my long term bucket list. :) I love traveling, and hope to be able to travel more this year. (CDO and Bangkok on this list for 2014!)

Aside from this, goal this year is to spend Christmas with the relatives in Canada. Excited to spend the holidays with my cousins and titos and titas, and excited to see and experience the snow! It'll be a white Christmas, a dream come true! :)

So what a better way to start the year by reflecting, settings your goals, and saving up for it! I am really determined to save up this year! Found a great way to do this, has anyone heard about the 52 week-money challenge? It's a money saving challenge where in you put aside a certain amount of money every week (or for professionals, add the amounts for two weeks and set it aside every payday). The amount varies per week, as it compounds, and adds up. :)

Think of that thing that you want to save up for (it'll make you more determined, and will give you that drive to save!) : a trip to your dream destination abroad (or local), your dream gadget, a shopping spree, investing in stocks, or just the satisfaction of having all that moolah in your account (good too for emergencies, for future expenses, or just keep on going so you'll have a head start on your future retirement fund. :) Just think of that 60K that you'll be having by the end of the year! 

What a great way to start the year by aligning your goals and your finances, so that we can honor God through the way we handle our money this 2014. :) 

Will probably start adding to this bucket list in the next weeks. Am thinking of all the stuff that I want to accomplish this year. I am super excited for 2014! 

TRAVELING WITH FRIENDS. Our Hongkong Day 1 (or should I say night? hehe) was such a fun experience. It was so great to be with friends on this trip, I didn't even notice the long waits at the airport! (that's me and Elai with Boaz, we took the next flight to HK- Arj and Mags were on the flight 2 hours before ours) Of course, Elai and I killed time by taking selfies. haha) We arrived at 10pm at Hongkong International Airport, and met up with our good friend Adriel who is staying in HK for quite some time now. We last saw each other 2 years ago (he came home and the barkada went on an out of town trip) and we were thrilled to be seeing him again, this time it was us visiting him. :) We so loved HK's ariport, it was such a good sign of this being an exciting trip. :)

TRAVELING THE WORLD. We just came back from a short trip to Hongkong last weekend. I personally waited for this for the whole year (we booked our flight last year, in October. Abangan ang seat sales online!) and was super excited to be travelling out of the country again this year. The last time I traveled was in March of 2012, we went on a business trip with my close friends/kinakapatid to China. I had such a great time on that trip! Goal na yan every year to travel to one country at a time, starting first with the Asian countries (when our budgets permit us to do so. haha) . I know we just arrived early last Saturday, and I can't wait to go back! So in honor of my hangover from our Hongkong trip, here are some travel quotes with a little kwento on the side. haha.

BRIGHT BLUE. I love this skirt. (can you tell? hehe) I wear it to give a little omph to my outfit, and just pair it with a plain shirt and one of my necklaces. :) i love how its fun and at the same time kinda corporate as well. I wear a cardigan over it when its raining. :) the wedges are my favorite as well, they're super comfortable, and stylish at the same time. :)  The necklace is a gift from my close friend (and fellow blogger!) jen. (check out her blog, shopgirljen.blogspot.com), one of my favorite pieces. :)

I am back, from my long vacay from work (just a week, but its a long time to be away from the office. hehe), I still have a slight hangover from the trip to China and Hongkong, my first time again in a long while to travel out of the country. It was super fun and adventurous (the airport in Hongkong and China is super nice! Just wish that our airport was like these.),  I shall dedicate a separate blog entry for that and will post pictures from the travel.  I recently bought a lightweight coat that would have been perfect to wear on the trip (it was 11degrees cold. ) I still bought it, to use for future travels, at least I have a coat in my closet for travelling. Hongkong is really nice, so was China. :) China is the perfect place to shop, its like a huge Divisoria. hehe. I had to control my shopping since we had to catch a train from China to Hongkong and carrying heavy luggage would be such a hassle. All in all,  trip was fun, exciting, and productive! Next stop on the Asian Tour: Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia. :) hehe.
