Red carpet style.
March 01, 2011The Oscars once again! Too bad I was in the office, so I didn't get to watch the Oscars, but I'm definitely going to catch a rerun. :) I am fairly happy with the winners : Colin Firth, best actor; Natalie Portman, best actress; The King's Speech, best picture (I am specially happy with this, I have watched it, and I liked it very much! kudos to Colin Firth!)
And aside from the excitement of knowing who won, I am interested in what the stars wore as they walked the red carpet. I personally like the gowns worn to this years Oscars, classic and flattering, but also iconic, memorable and sophisticated.
Camila Alves oozes glamour in this Kaufman Franco black ball gown. |
I just loved the soft and bedazzled feel of Mandy Moore's gown. Monique Lhuillier does it again: a striking and sophisticated number. |
Gwyneth Paltrow's Calvin Klein gown is my favorite : very chic, classy and glam! |
Hailee Steinfeld in Marchesa. Very age appropriate. |
Mila Kunis' Elie Saab gown is a statement piece. I just love how girly it feels. |
Cate Blanchett in Givency. At first I wasn't too fond of her gown, but when you look at it closely, you'll see it gives off an ethereal feel. |
Helen Miren. Still glam and sophisticated! |
Natalie Portman |
Co- host Anne Hathaway had several changes in outfits during the Oscars. I would have to watch the Oscars rerun this Tuesday (on Studio 23, 10:30pm) to see how she and James Franco did with the hosting. From the teasers I have watched, I figure it's not going to be that bad. I'll have to see that for myself. In the meantime, I found the pictures of her in the different gowns throughout the event. I have my favorites. :)
I love this one. |
