Casual Saturday: Top: Random II Shorts: Greenhills II Red ballet flats : Shoe Salon

Friday night chillout with barkada. :)

FUN FUN WEEKEND. I love Saturdays. I always look forward to getting up late, and chilling at home, doing the stuff I don't normally do on weekdays : hanging out, watching dvd's all day, all the little stuff. Saturday is chillout day. Thus the casual outfit. :)

I wore my black and white stripped top with my red ballet flats. Red looks good with black and white, accentuates it just perfectly. :) I love wearing black and white, then pairing it with red flats, or a red belt as an accent. My friends have been telling me to try on red lipstick. I have given in and have tried it, (I usually wear nude lipstick. I am now convinced. haha) and I love how it upgrades a casual outfit, gives it just a little omph. I now have a thing for red lippies. :)

Was able to attend the Happy Andrada event with the blog sisters yesterday, will do an post on that soon. Also, spent time last Friday night with my college friends. It never ceases to amaze me how we could be so different yet get along so well. We're all grown up now, everyone doing their own thing, but we make time to hangout and catch up. :) We always have so much fun! I Iove all them dearly. What, senti? haha. :)

Anyway, I hope you had a fun weekend too. :) its Monday again tomorrow, back to work. hehe. Have a happy week loves!

Black and Gray

MONOCHROME. I love wearing black and gray. i love classic, and i think that you could never go wrong with black. I have lots of neutral colored pieces in my wardrobe, but my goal this year is to buy more colored pieces too. tangerine is the in color this 2012, and color blocking will still be seen this year too. Tried pairing this outfit with my patent pumps as well. hehe.

In other news: after much persuasion, I finally tried on a bright red lipstick color, and I so love it! :) I have a red colored lipstick, but most of my lippies are nude colors. I'm saving up for the Russian Red MAC lipstick that I want. :) hehe. It's going to go well with my monochrome outfits. :)
I love the color of my hair. Colored it myself and used Luster by Splash. Try it to get the hair color you want without shelling out too much. :)

CLASSIC SOPHISTICATION. I personally love the Duchess' style. Its young, and she always looks so elegant and sophisticated, perfect for a royal. :) I love how her looks are so simple and classic, but the way she carries herself is befitting for a princess. Saw some of her most fashionable looks online (see more of her looks -photocredits too!- here!), all I can say is that she always looks so well put together and regal. :)

On the Red Carpet

GLAM. Almost everyone watches to see the Red Carpet arrival of the stars during Awards Night. It's that time again for the Golden Globes, and the stars have come out for a night of celebrating the film industry in their most fabulous and stylish garb. :) Here are my favorite looks from the Red Carpet.

skirt and top : random II black patent pumps

NATURALLY CHIC PRINTS. I love wearing skirts, I feel more comfortable in skirts. In keeping with 2012's trends, (bold prints are so in this year! :) I wore my new zebra printed bandage skirt today with a plain top. It's fun to mix prints, but it's also good to wear plains with with it too. I think it adds more emphasis on the print. And a plain top means more freedom to accessorize! :) I've been browsing the fashion sites and blogs for this year's trends, some more trends to look out for : lots of tangerine and orange (colors of the year!) , pastel shades (sweet and sophisticated), metallic basic (anything shimmery and metallic instantly turns out to be a party-worthy piece!), and color blocking is still in this year! (a tip that I read : stick to three colors to avoid the rainbow brite look. hehe)

So excited to try out the trends this year! How about getting more metallic stuff into my wardrobe? :) I'm getting a lot of inspiration from blog surfing (love chriselleinc.com's blog! check it out too!), meaning more outfit ideas! :)

It's day 9, so far so good. :) I'm maintaining a positive attitude, I know there's so much in store this year. Let's do this! :)

Dress: Forever 21 II Black Patent Pumps

UP NORTH. We had our company Christmas party at Baguio this year. Was kind of a vacation for us too, taking a break from the busy-ness of the office. I have fond memories of Baguio, we would celebrate Christmas with other family friends up north, it was always super fun! Although we're all grown up now, we're still close friends. :) So it's always nice to visit Baguio once in a while, to enjoy just being away from the city, and the climate too! First up was the Market/Bazaar along Session Road. Half of the lane was closed for the midnight market : shopping galore! :) We had a red carpet theme for the party, so everyone dressed up for dinner. The trip was super fun, specially when you're with the craziest people. haha. Enjoyed the trip!

Still can't believe that the holidays are over, and everyone is back to work. haha. Still have a bit of a hangover from all the festivities, but I have a pretty good feeling about 2012. I think (and declare!) that it's going to be a great year! (the best ever!) May all our dreams and goals become a reality this year, i know we can do this because nothing is impossible with God! So exciting! :)

2011 RECAP. 2011 has been a blast! :) I'm getting sentimental as I try to remember everything that happened during the past year. :) I went through all the pictures: So many things to thank God for, so many new experiences, memories, new friends.

My 2012 goals: to finally enroll in driving school, to venture out and start practicing architecture on my own (starting a firm with friends too!), to take more risks, travel out of the country and drink vitamins (hahah.) I am sure there will be many more bonding moments to share with friends, more opportunities careerwise (and blogging too!), many more memories to make. As we start making plans for 2012, let's not forget to ask God too, I'm sure He has lots in store for us this coming year! So exciting! :)

I've had so many opportunities in blogging this year, met so many new blogger friends (shout out to the blogger friends! :) and of course so many bonding moments with friends. Here's my 2011 in pictures. I'm pretty sure that 2012's going to be a great year too!

Christmas, my favorite time of the year!

Starbucks Stopover. Toffeenut Latte, one for the road. :) 5-6 hour drive ahead. :)

OF CHRISTMAS PARTIES AND STARBUCKS. Christmas has always been my favorite time of the year. I love the festive feeling and the excitement of the holidays. There's nothing quite like it. :) We had our company Christmas party in Baguio this year. I have fond memories of Baguio, we used to spend every Christmas there when we were little kids, together with friends (kai, do you remember? hehe) It's great to go back and see it again, brings back happy memories. :) Was fun to shop along session road (they closed the other lane to make way for stalls! :) love love ukay and tiangges. :)

It's the week before Christmas and I'm still not done with my shopping list. I just remembered to list all my inaanaks. I have to finish that this week. hehe. I'm feeling the festive mood already, no ususal traffic along Katipunan Avenue today (where my office is.), i think all the schools are on vacation already. Can I go on vacation too? haha. I wish.

Animal Print and Polkadots

PRINT LOVE. I had a quick trip to the tiangge before getting on the train (at Farmer's in Cubao. Lots of great stuff.). I saw these cute bandage skirts that look absolutely fash, and i just had to get two of it, one plain one printed. :) Also got a cute sheer top, with the polkadots on the back. Will post outfit pics soon. hehe. Nothing like retail therapy to relax you. :)

It's just a couple of days 'till Christmas, I kinda missed our UAP (United Architects of the Philippines. hehe) Chapter Christmas Party, because I had to go home and rest, felt terrible. (I just had to take a break from coming home late every night. hehe) We still have the company Christmas party, I'm looking forward to that. And there's still the Christmas shopping list that I have to do right away. hehe. So there. But in the busy-ness of the season, I hope we don't forget the real reason why we're celebrating : the birth of Jesus who came to change the world, and to save mankind. :)

I love love Christmas! It's starting to feel really festive. Can't wait for the family reunions and the super delicious Christmas dinner. :)

All the stuff in between: Food Cravings and Pantone Color Trends

Random Food Cravings and Fashion Forecasts. We had our Monday night dinner at the newly opened Bonchon in Trinoma with the girls (we had the 9 piece combo of wings and drumsticks! supper yummy!) then had dessert at Parvati. We ordered a selection of our favorite desserts, mine is always a (dark) chocolate cake. :) It was just so good to hang out with the girls and eat the most delicious desserts, I just love eating out and bonding with friends.

Been surfing for the fashion forecasts for 2012, and I saw this Pantone color chart, showing the color trends that will be in next year. Being an architect, we work with color charts everytime, and color can make all the difference in design. Same with fashion.This chart will be the best guide for shopping, to scoop up the trendiest items, clothes and shoes in these flattering hues. :) I promise myself, I will wear more colored pieces next year, since I have always been comfortable with monochromatic outfits lately. It's time to introduce some changes next year, be bolder and more outrageous. (not just with my style, but in other areas too. :)

Christmas is just around the corner. So excited for it. :)

The Simple Pleasures : Chocolate and impromtu hangouts.

Try the blogger smile. :) Hanging out with the girls is always so much fun! :)

Impromptu get togethers and bonding moments. I just love hanging out, chatting, talking and laughing. And Fruitti Froyo! Love it! I missed you Astrid! :) We should hangout again soon!

My Starbucks drink : Toffeenut Latte! :) Hanging out at Starbucks Gateway, which is becoming my favorite place to spend 'me time'. Free wifi! I can spend all day reading books, surfing the net and enjoying my coffee. Love it! :)

Dark chocolate with a twist. I super love dark chocolate!!! This is one of my favorites : Chilli Dark chocolate. :) Someone brought us a bar of this, and I've been looking for it in the grocery ever since. I found it in Trinoma Landmark grocery, for those who want to try it. hehe. It's really good! If you love spicy food, you'll like this. :)

Hangout with the officemates. I work with some of the brightest and best people. (yes naman! hehe) They're the best ever! :) Whenever we get to go out together, we have the best time : laughing, eating, and chatting. :) What we love to do: eating out (dampa! the best ever!), kwentuhan, and videoke!

The simplest things. I like this idea of blogging about the things I love most. I am the type of person who is easily pleased with the small things, laughs at the corniest jokes. I enjoy the simplest things. I can sit in a coffee shop and read books for hours, and enjoy the 'Me' time. Or stroll to the nearest tiangge on the way home and enjoy window shopping, (or shopping. haha.).

Rajo x Parisian

We were invited to the launch of the Rajo x Parisian collection at the SMDC Showroom near Mall of Asia (I have yet to know who the architect is, but I took a look at the spaces, and was impressed. hehe) The show started with music by the Zombettes and cocktails. I love the structure and the sculpture of the heels, how Rajo took his inspiration from his love for architecture. :)

We attended the RajoxParisian Launch last Wednesday at the SMDC Showroom. I loved the sculptured heels of some of shoes in the collection. Rajo got his inspiration from architecture, thus the sculptured heels. hehe. It was a great night, of fashion and bonding with the other bloggers. Will post more about the event too, watch out for it. :)

Wore this dress (which is one of my favorite go-to dresses. hehe) with my gray jacket and my lace up peep toe booties. Love the floral print on the top of the dress.

Today is 11.11.11. I bet there are lots of events planned on this very day. hehe.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year! The malls are beginning to play Christmas songs, and we've put up the Christmas tree in our office. And when the Christmas drinks come out, you know that Christmas is just around the corner. :) I love the feeling of drinking my Starbucks drink, it reminds me of all the festivities and the family time we have during holidays. Sometimes we go out for coffee and just hangout, we take advantage of the opportunity that there is no work, and that everyone is around for the holidays. :)

The Starbucks tradition. I always look forward to November, when the Christmas drinks come out. I can have my favorite Toffeenut Latte again. And I like the planner this year. :) Its another Christmas tradition every coffee lover looks forward to. I was able to watch the Chris Diaz/Liz Cua/Eric delos Santos fashion show during Philippine Fashion Week, which was held at the SMDC Showroom. It was my first time to see the interior of the building, and I love the modern and grand interiors! I wish I had more time to look around, I am always curious of the designs and the spaces. I'd have to search who the architect is.

The show opened with Chris Diaz' s collection: the colors were gorgeous, and the pieces were glam and fab, ready for the summer. The collection consisted of long gowns in gorgeous hues, swimsuits, short dresses and pants. I personally loved all the pieces! :)

The place was packed with people, and I was glad to see my other blogger friends who watched the show with me: Kai and Laura (Kai's sister), Ana , Gie and her friend Frieda, Mar, who we spotted after the show. All the designers' collections were stunning! (loved all the cover ups, and the dresses, gowns and also the swimsuits.

Today is Tuesday, I have a slight hangover of the long weekend, but its all good! It's a great start to the week: had time to rest, and spend with the family (and also a little bit of blogging and blog surfing, as well as watching dvd's and reading!). I had my first Starbucks Christmas drink of the season (Toffeenut Latte, my favorite!) : it's starting to feel like Christmas already!

Booties love. I love my pumps and stilletos (most of my shoes are pumps or stilletos. hehe), but I decided to try something new when I got these. I love the booties! Wore these with my Redhead dress, its rock (the black booties. hehe) and shabby chic (flowers on the dress) together! hehe.

PLAIN AND SIMPLE. I love wearing plain tops because I get to accessorize more freely. I can't remember where I got this necklace, but I think it was from a bazaar/tiangge. I love bargain shopping, so there. hehe. :) I love my Manels clogs, I walk in them and it doesn't hurt my feet.

Another long weekend is coming up, can't wait fot it! :) We get to wake up late and bum around again, even if its just for a couple of days. Everyone needs a time out right? hehe. :)

Freeway x Manansala : Art and Fashion

Fashion and Art. Two things that I love, so when I was invited to the FreewayxManansala Collection Launch at the Row in Glorietta 5, I was super excited! Art and fashion always go well together. Fashion is an art. And art can be fashion: as showcased in Freeway's newest collection in the series celebrating the works of the national artists.

The newest line from Freeway features the national Artist for painting, Vicente

Manansala. The beloved well known Philippine cubist painter and illustrator, reinterpreted or indigenized cubism as he drew his themes from the familiar Filipino environment. Some of his masterpieces are Madonna of the Slums, a portrayal of mother and child from the countryside who became urban shanty residents once in the city; and Jeepneys where Manansala combined the elements of provincial folk culture with the congestion issues of the city. Manansala was proclaimed National Artist for Painting in 1982.

The concept of printing the works of the national artists on clothing is genius, immediately producing a fashionable and unique item of clothing that exudes style, and at the same time shows our love for our culture and exquisite art. :)

Cool Design Ideas: Stylish & Sustainable Condos

One can translate his/her style into the space that they live in. It's also one way we express our style, we can have a space that is personalized and customized to fit our design needs. And aside from having a space that expresses your unique style, you can have a space that is sustainable as well.

Understanding the changing environment in the metro, Condo Living, the ultimate lifestyle and design guide for condo dwellers, organized a series of workshops for condo home improvements.

In partnership with the Philippine School of Interior Design, the “High Rise Design and Lifestyle Workshops”is geared towards providing tips and guides on design and sustainability, crucial for condo dwellers. The first sessions concluded last October 15 – 16, 2011, with guests learning straight from two interior design experts. An open forum followed where guests had free consultation with the design experts.

The last lecture will be held at the Jack en Poy exhibit (former Super Sale Club, SM City North EDSA) on October 29, 2011. Two top interior designers will once again share their expertise and experiences in maximizing the potentials of condo living. The unpredictable Wilmer Lopez will share his vision in “Memories and Movement: Adding Soul to Design”, while the outstanding Jigs Adefuin will help audiences figure out space usage in “Practical Storage and Effective Storage for the Condo Home”. Seats will be given to those who will bring a copy of CondoLiving’s latest issue, Designer Condo.

For those who would love to learn more about how you could design, style and maximize your space (ex: how fit in more storage space for shoes and bags! hehe), i think this workshop would help you to come up with cool, stylish ideas for your space!

I am super excited to see the new SM Parisian line, two of my favorite things come together in a collection: Fashion and Architecture. I bet the collection is going to be sculptural, artsy and of course fabulously fashionable :)

I have always enjoyed discovering new stuff, I love trying new things. :) My friends and I enjoy eating out at new places, and trying out new stuff, we get to bond and we enjoy the food. When one of my friends raved about how good Manang's Chicken was, I was just so excited to try it myself.

I find it very interesting that Manang's chicken started out as a simple family favorite. The now famous "Manang" is the family's cook, and the famous chicken has been a staple at family gatherings. It's amazing to see how things have worked out for the family who owns Manang's Chicken: they just went ahead and tried selling the chicken at the Mercato Food Bazaar, everyone liked the chicken, and the next thing they knew, they were already operating several stores because of the demand for their delicious chicken. That just goes to show that everyone can have a business, as long as you are willing to run with your vision. You just have to see how God will cause everything to fall into place. Now isn't that cool? He's the perfect business partner. :) Very inspiring!

And very mouth watering! My favorite part of the event was tasting the chicken. :) It has a very distinct taste that I am sure you'll love. They have the spicy version of their chicken! (I love spicy food!) And I love the potato crispies and the salad too. Enough said. Roll the pictures! :)

Philippine Fashion Week starts today!

It's time again for Philippine Fashion Week. :) I am fortunate enough to be attending some of the shows, it would be really exciting to see all the designs for Summer Spring 2011! I am sure all the designs that will grace the runways will be fab. And it would be fun to see everyone dressing up for the events and the fashion shows. It'll be like watching a runway show right there in the hallways of the SMX Convention Center. :)

We all get to the some point of tiredness, when all we want to do is sit around, and stare into space. I know I have felt that, many times. I remember when I finished my thesis in architecture school, it was the first time again that I had coffee at Starbucks without my books, or my thesis stuff. I super enjoyed lounging around and staring into space. Those are the times I enjoy doing nothing.

Sometimes, when you're busy with stuff, you forget to breathe, and then feel the tiredness after a while.

I was just reminded of the verse in Isaiah 40:31 (my favorite verse) .

But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Whatever we are going through, it's good to know that God's promises are forever (you can see that in the Bible, tons of promises that you can claim for yourself! :) He will give us strength as long as we remain steadfast in Him. :) I am feeling kinda tired lately, lots of work at the office, and bits and pieces in between, but I'm still up and running. just need to recharge once in a while. Actually everyday. hehe. :) Don't forget to spend time praying and talking with God, it really does wonders for your mood through the day. hehe. :)

Update: in other news, I was able to attend the Freeway x Manansala Launch. Watch out for my post on that. :)

We had a super fun food tripping experience last week at the IL Merkanti food bazaar (Thanks Genn for the invites!). It was raining hard, but hey, we still had so much fun! I went with several bloggers (who have become friends too. :) and a couple of close friends to experience the food bazaar for the first time. It was a mouth watering experience, seeing all the food lined up on tables before you, you wouldn't know where to start!

So after much thinking (haha. yeah right. :), I started to look for my favorites first. I love dressing up, and wearing heels, but that doesn't mean that I don't eat isaw, its actually my favorite! So I went looking for that first. I found this booth where they sold stcks of isaw, loong sticks of it. Was just delicious. I think I'm craving for one now that I'm writing about it.

Some more of my favorites that I found in the bazaar : pasta, shrimp cooked in butter, fish and fries (chips), chicharon, sushi, cakes and desserts galore. And that's not everything yet. hehe. You'll have to visit the bazaar to experience and see all the food choices. Just looking at all the food is making me hungry. :)

I just love bandage skirts. I find that its comfortable and easier to wear than a-line skirts (hard to walk when windy. hehe). And you can style it in many ways. :)

I have a couple of bandage skirts, it's my favorite piece of clothing these past few days. I was looking for style inspiration pics, and I found these, cool ways to wear your bandage skirt, and style it.

OOTD: Turquoise and Gold

I got the top from the Redhead (thanks Redhead! visit them in all SM Department stores!). I love the rich turquoise color, plus the gold buttons are a nice detail. Turquoise and gold go so well together. :) I wore the top with my F21 animal print skirt and cropped black cardigan. I love wearing skirts, and this one is my favorite, the print gives a little something extra to the outfit (love animal prints!). As I always say, you can dress up the outfit, just by simply changing your shoes, from pumps/heels, to casual flats. :)

It's always hard to get up on a Monday morning, but today was a great start to the week: lots of things to do, but still up and running. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
(Phil. 4:13). Excited for the rest of the week. :) Bring it on. hehe.

Awesome Architecture: The MAXXI Museum by Zaha Hadid

Most of the famous architects have always been men. There was a time when Architecture was just for the men, was a not a choice course for women to take up in university. Those days are long gone, many women have now stepped up to the plate, and have shown excellence in design as architects. I remember in architecture school, many of the famous architects whose works we studied were men. Then we studied the works of Zaha Hadid. Her designs are modern and groundbreaking. We were so proud of her when we studied her works back in architecture school, she was the only female architect that I knew who had a great contribution to the global architecture scene. Go women architects! :)

I came across this awesome building by Zaha Hadid.

So here's more about her winning design. I love the architecture, awesome play of forms, and lines. :)

The MAXXI - National Museum of the 21st Century Arts is a national museum dedicated to contemporary creativity, located in the Flaminio neighbourhood of Rome, Italy. It is managed by a foundation created by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. It was designed as a multidisciplinary space by Zaha Hadid and committed to experimentation and innovation in the arts and architecture.

OOTD: Black, White and Redhead.

It's raining cats and dogs today. I always enjoy rainy weather (tamang ulan lang, not the super windy/damaging typhoon), I get to layer, plus its the best time to lounge around, sleep in and blog and watch DVD's. The boss messaged us early this morning not to come to work because of the really bad weather (yey, slept some more! Woke up just in time for lunch.hehe). Electricity was out for a while, but thank God, we have our connection back already! Its movie marathon (Grey's Anatomy!) and blogging time! :)

Anyway, on to my OOTD post. :)

I was invited to the Redhead launch of the search for the newest Redhead girls! (read the post here.:). The Redhead line has evolved, with pieces that are versatile, and very stylish. I enjoyed picking out the pieces that I took home. Will post more oufit pictures soon. :)

Here is one of those pieces I brought home from the Redhead line. I love this dress, because you can style the look, and make more casual or dress it up and wear it to work with a blazer and pumps.

I just got my new passport in the mail. I am a step closer to my plan of travelling the world. :) It's good that the prices for the air fares have become affordable, now everyone Juan can fly. (haha, endorsement. hehe.) I would love to go on my dream architectural tour of the world, but I've got to start somewhere, so I'm starting with Asia (hopefully). Of course I'd have to plan (and SAVE! hehe.) for the trips. And ask some friends to come as well. :)

I'd love to see the Marina Bay Sands Hotel in Singapore. I love amazing architecture. :) plus there's shopping, dinning!

My sister had just gone to Japan last year. She says they enjoyed seeing the city, riding the trains, and shopping! Not to mention the tourist sights that are a must see (Tokyo Disneyland! The Forbidden City is a must see tourist spot.)

Must see Angkor Wat. :)

There's also Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam.

I just love travelling! Will have to start saving up for these trips. hehe

Cool Planning Ideas - Small Spaces!

My sister showed me this video yesterday. its an add by Ikea, featuring interesting planning ideas. Now I am itching to fix our spare room, turn it into a walk in closet/dresser/study. I have always been fascinated with brilliant planning ideas, and when I saw this, I was impressed. :) Watch out for the bit on the bedroom for 6 people, and the walk through closet in the small bedroom : amazing ideas!

You can plan small spaces to serve more than one purpose, by putting in easy-to-move furniture, and by using dividers, or curtains. Also the spaces under the bed can serve as a separate "room" by adding curtains or we can also create a walk in closet (you can enclose it and make it into a dressing area also by adding curtains!)

Salvatore Ferragamo Resort Wear 2012

I've always wondered how resort wear is defined exactly. While surfing the net, I came across an article about resort wear : it is one of many new genres of clothing, and is now being specified on cruises and for destination weddings. Just think crisp and cool pieces that look chic in an outdoor tropical setting, on a resort, or beach and you'll have a better idea of what resort wear really is. I love that it is so relaxed yet still glam and fabulous. It has become a style that signifies relaxation, affluence, and an appreciation of nature, and displays a sense of style and class for the wearer.

Colors

Colors for resort wear include brights. Magenta, turquoise, yellow, and white all look fabulous near the water.

Prints

Along with color, prints are popular. Think tribal and large floral prints, along with embroidery and ikat (a craft in which one tie-dyes and weaves yarn to create an intricately designed fabric) details.

Fabrics

Cool fabrics like linen and cotton are the most popular materials for resort wear.

Accessories

Resort wear can consist of a bright maxi dress or white sundress, but the key is to dress it up with jewelry. Large statement necklaces or a gold cuff give a plain dress a chic twist that makes it perfect for resort wear.

Men

Men should make like JFK at the beach. Lightweight button-up shirts, loose twill or linen pants rolled up create a chic, comfortable look.

Shoes

Women should wear wedges or a flat leather sandal. Metallic flourishes add pizazz without looking over-the-top. Men should opt for a boat shoe or a loafer.

Parisian Chic

Style has always been subjective. How you dress depends on your personality and preference, and we might not have the same personalities. We may not agree wholly on some points, but its good to know that although we have different tastes, there are some things that we can do and adopt that will work for any style. Those instant things that can immediately upgrade your style and add a little something. I think that no one can go wrong with the basics. :)

I was browsing through Daphne Osena-Paez' blog and found this very interesting book that she mentioned. I'm itching to see if they have it at National Bookstore, Powerbooks, or Fully Booked (I bet it would also cost as much as Nina Garcia's Little Black book of Style, and her other books. hehe.)

I've searched for it through the internet, and these are a few tips from the book that I found.

my thoughts : I was able to buy a nice blazer with nice lining, it adds a little accent when I fold back the sleeves to reveal the colorful cloth that is the lining at the cuff. :) See how the belt is just kind of tied at the waist?

my thoughts : I think the little black dress is a staple. It's an instant go to outfit, I wear it when I can't think of anything else to wear : then I have fun accessorizing with big earrings, or a necklace, or red pumps. :) its like a blank canvass.

my thoughts : I love wearing jeans (aside from wearing skirts. hehe) It is true that you can match it with anything. I love it that you can just wear a plain top, put on a jacket, and just pair it with your nice pumps or high heels, you have your instant chic outfit. :)

These are just some things that we can do. The most important thing is that you have to be comfortable in whatever you're wearing. And whatever your style is, to wear it with confidence. :)
