Nail It! Greenhills Grand Opening: Pamper me day!

May 25, 2011

Even men need their nails taken care of.
The manly-manicure.
 thus, manlicure. genius. :)

Who doesn't love being pampered? It is a must that we give ourselves a treat once in a while. When Iam stressed, I tend to get a hair cut, (the shampooing makes me sleepy, and the smell of the shampoo and conditioner, plus the scalp massage...hmmm. I can just imagine it. ) or get my nails done.

We were invited to the Nail It salon grand opening of their Greenhills branch last May 21. (thanks Jen!) It was hitting 2 birds with one stone : meeting the other bloggers, and getting a pedicure.

The event started off with the blessing of the newly opened salon. Then we were served snacks, and mingled while waiting for our turn. Met other bloggers at the event (Jariss thanks for the giveaways!  Tatie was also there, so were Hazel, and of course Jen and Kai,).

Then we had our nails done. I had a pedicure, and had my nails on my hands painted. Was so relaxing, I almost dozed off. :) The nail technician started of with a basin of water to clean the feet, and soften the cuticles. Then she put  kind of cream on my toe nails, and proceeded cleaning. I was personally very satisfied with the way she cleaned my nails - it did not hurt, but was a thorough cleaning. I figured I can clean my nails on my own, but not as professional and clean as they had done at Nail It! So I might make it a habit to get my nails done regularly - para super linis. :)

I had polish put on my nails (hands and feet), an Orly color called Soulmate - a kind of redish-pinkish color. (I love red on my nails and can't seem to handle the color change. haha. But I promise, I will try another color, other than red when I get my nails done again).

My nails being painted a reddish pink color.

We had fun with the photobooth they set up. :)

Had the opportunity to speak to the owner Ms. Jean. She was telling us that the concept for the salon actually came by brainstorming with her daughter, and they worked to put together the concept. The goal was to bring the luxury of having your nails done to the public at an affordable price (which they have done. excellent service for an affordable price!) They only use Orly nailpolish, and we can be sure that all the nippers, nail cutters, what have you, are sterilized and hygienic.  Great and affordable luxury is now within reach. :)
